A baby goat named Ed who was allegedly stolen from a Baltimore community garden earlier this week has been brought back to his home, according to police.
Ed, a Nigerian Dwarf goat, was “anonymously returned” to the Filbert Street Garden on Tuesday.
A Facebook post shared by the Filbert Street Garden claimed that the goat was taken just after midnight Tuesday by a pair of teenagers who broke into the barn and “cut through the goat fencing.”
“We’re not sure if the hope is to sell him or if it is part of some initiation,” reads the garden’s post.
“The community begs whoever did this to please just quietly return Ed,” the post continued. “He is not old enough to ween from his mother yet and could die.”
The garden has since posted multiple photos of Ed, who weighs about 20 pounds, following his return.
